Mr. Kanye West and a few others, even our President refer to me, us, him, her &  them as ”MUTTS”!  What are mutts?  Let me explain, I will be the expert… M.U.T.T= Misjudged Under Traditional Teachings. Most words (phrases/adjectives), somebody had to start them, right? (no dogs here!!!) One thing I can say is that no Mutt asked to be here, God spoke up!  …

Being a Mutt or multi-racial is a huge part of our society and culture.  We should embrace differences and enlarge our territories, to be the best we can be… rainbows of inspirtation!…love all races and colors.

The term “mutt” may sound a little harsh but that is only because it started with “negative” but it very “positive”…Look at our President and so many beautiful others. 

Wedowee AL is made of LOVE, why because the stitching of that small town’s fabric had to embrace & endure a lot.  …sometimes we come together during the craziest moments… Why not just “American” or better yet “Human”. …one step at a time. In the mean while, just LOVE . Vonda:-)

After hearing the story from the passengers on the airplane, I heard life.  Life that thought it was over.  Life to fall then get right back up. (sounds like U.S.A.!)  Life that shook with panic for a moment, then prayed.  Life to help another life while standing, believing , and realizing that God is good!  Life to be nothing but another testimony for many to hear. 

Sure they were cold after they were in the Hudson River…the coldest day of the year.  But they still have life. Captain “Sully” have experience and truly “life experience” is what he knows best.  Many will tell him that he is a hero and I am sure he will say…”No, I was just doing my job…I knew I had  many people to get home…experience…staying calm…believing…!” …etc.

America, and the world…U.S. Airways Flight 1549 took off on runway #4…birds, engine death, descending, make a choice, millions of lives below the airbus…suddenly water, then again another walk on water!  Good training can make the difference. 

…Miracle On The Hudson! ” Brace for impact”, Capt. “Sully” said.  …and they all say it was nothing but God, and I agree! Prayer took place and prayers were answered.  I hope and pray all involved in this crazy-great story will get plenty rest and just be thankful for life.

Some entered the new year with us, some  moved thousands of miles away, while others may never  be seen again.  My parents’ home for over 31 years burned down, less than a week before Christmas.   After experiencing a big “man-made” loss,  I was able to move my thought process quickly. Driving for almost two hours, glancing through the past, and realizing greater reality…no lives were hurt.

Rebuild.  When life happens, realize that you still have life.  What is our purpose!  Decide today to live, laugh,  love, and even let go.  No matter where you go, there you are.  Change is neccessary to grow.  After watching tears fall and the walls of the house hit the ground, I understood “man-made and God-made.”  

Please let me tell you when the fire fighters, neighbors, family and friends left the destroyed home they will not forget…Everything burnt, nothing left standing except an angel on the hearth, above the fire place!  ..God created the lives, we built the house into a home.  When things seems like no good can be found…believe me, angels are every where!

Grasp 2009 by the horns and ride, ride, ride!  Tell people you love them.  Do not get caught up in negativity.  Smell a flower, plant a tree, plant a forest, plant a life worth living. Seed time and harvest time!…let it grow.

As the trees are covered in fewer leaves, or if any at all, that is what we must do.  We need to release the old (clean out the closet) to allow better things to flow in our lives. You can’t put new wine in an old wine container.  Everyone and every thing should not be in our “bubble”.  Some names and numbers need deleting.  Some faces should be forgotten.  If the faces’ souls are not depositing good seeds, bag the stuff up, and dispose!  …just a reminder, this year is almost over, leave some behind and expect favor with two hands open.

Yesterday my niece and I went to the movies, out to eat, and did a little shopping.  We  hung out and relaxed in the some-what busy Oxford, Alabama mall.  Treating her to a “just because day,” before her couple of months away to experience naval academy.

She had to leave pretty much everything behind, except the clothes on her back.  When walking for a cause, sometimes we can not take much with us.  We need no distractions when “life happens”,  we must go with only necessities.  So to my niece Ashley, I am extremely proud of you. Your first Christmas holiday away from home. Thank you for serving our country, and to the rest of the men and women protecting our nation, thank you!

Keep a smile in your heart and remember to express your thanks to our service men and women.  Let go and let God! I pray that we will all do a great work.  Live and let go.   We are all here to serve in one way or another.  How will you serve?  How ever we go about our lives, smile and be of good and kiss your self!

Time to see where I am going. For instance, I live on the top floor and I have seen all of my “same-floor” neighbors at least, a small handful of times. What if every time you pass by each other, you say a prayer for them and they pray for you? What if you gave them a smile? What about the people you pass by once and you just sense goodness. Maybe, that is why some would pray for you, because they know something you may not. Would you ask for blessings to pour into their lives? Why not, you truly never know who is asking for grace and mercy, for you. We can all go around just handing out positivity.

Smile at opposites. Give a hug when needed. Dress up and watch television or listen to your favorite tunes, be grateful, naked! It’s your domain, you can’t walk naked every where and be in prayer and saying thank-you out loud. (just smile) The point is, no matter where you are, say a prayer.

Stay in prayer and just be thankful. Thank Him for the big and teeny-weeny. We must not forget to pray for our troops and their families and friends. Thanks for this day. Today is a day to just be, and be thankful. Be thankful for happiness yet hold on to joy. It’s a beautiful day in America, that is how we must view it and even write it down. Habakkuk 2:2 is a scripture in the bible which shows reference to my thought. “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Time to see, write, ask, and be.

Say a prayer and do a good deed. Continue to let your little light shine. The fog is heavy today, but the sun is still there. We can only take one step at a time. See what is in front of you and keep it moving. Nothing is impossible! Thanks.

Please let me explain a little more…  First, let me say howdy world and it is almost Happy Turkey Day!

A friend is a friend. I am an open book. As an open book, I may want to sit on the shelf or picked up to read through certain chapters. Sometimes I will listen and sometimes I just want you to listen. There are times the phone hangs up or our presence may leave one another, and I just sigh…wow, o.k….!? …long time no see or hear or totally understand.

When people call, I am usually all ears. The conversations may start out at A but can quickly travel to Z! I love to laugh and learn. Life experiences told by the others can also be a good experience, for both parties. My friend who I spoke to briefly has 3 beautiful children and is married. He and his wife have been together more than 15 years. Yes, I must say that he is handsome, smart and has a great humor. Let’s just say an attractive person with much potential, and his wife probably has all the same qualities.

The conversation started with small talk and eventually led to the big stuff. Let me speed up and tell you he and his wife are separating, and discussing a divorce. Trust me, I am sure I do not know half of the story, just hear me out. The couple realized they were in need of a relationship makeover, years ago. What kind of make over you may ask…?…how about add another body or two, to the equation! Should I say 3-some or maybe 4-some?! (not sure, I was not there)

Sure and true, I have not been in this kind of relationship. One reason I like too much attention to truly be happy in this kind of “fix”. (and if I was, I did not know it) Please realize that to each is his/her own. Who am I to judge? I am not married. Maybe, I know what I want and need. I am not good with second place and I do not want to share, period! O.k., here I am world…just being the listening ear, sharing stories and appreciating the openness.

My gentleman friend quoted, “as long as I have the heart and soul, in the marriage, the body can go any where.” (not sure if every word is exact, but yes, that is what he pretty much said) With that heard loud and clear I would think very strong heartily, they have or had an OPEN relationship/marriage for some while …hummmmm!? The openness of the conversation had us embraced by real life dilemmas. The thinking back part was the transition from high school beliefs and adult life realities.

Please know from what I understand both enjoyed this life-style. Evidently, the woman was tired of the life-style or sharing her man. Either way, there is a family that may fall apart. What should happen in this situation? Personally, I would like to see them work it out. Family is still family.

The questions and answers were very honest. He is a man who wants a wife and a “side!” Who knows, if there is a divorce, he may only want “sides”. (sounds too much like, “would you like fries with that shake?”) With that being said, we must go into the relationship with truth and honesty. If you do not mind 3 and 4-somes, your prerogative. Maybe you do your “side-work”, with or without the “main” partner, your spouse.

Please understand, if you do not express your motives in the beginning, you may jeopardize a great relation. If you change your mind, let it me known. Be nice to self and respect the other party and again, listen. Smile when you speak, and share quality time when you are able. It is not my responsibility to tell him or you right from wrong. A friend shared, and I care about the out come. Let’s be wiser and love the one we are with…if at all possible!

My day is a day that only God made. We go through so much at home, work, on the street, and even in church. There are so many things going on in our world…”our world”, we need to P.U.S.H….pray until something happens. Yes, I cry, I get PO’d (up set to say the least), want to tell everyone how I really feel, from the bottom to the top…then I say “Vonda, stay positive and pray”. Yes, I realize it is easier said than done, I totally get that!

Our nation, which I love and I am sure you do as well, is in need of new direction. Let’s start now and with us. Today, let us pray for ourselves, families, and our nation and please, please do not forget our troops and the next First Family. You pray for me and I pray for you.
